Christmas postcard DT card

Hello there back with another card for craftneed blog post a postcard card...
This winter though of gifting one of my close friend a santa card with style.
I used  this cardstock postcard from

I had pre printed those poinsettia on my laser printer and fussy cut them and little shaped inward with my ball tool  . From the same cardstock I fussy cut a Santa Claus.
time for colors. Used shades of distress inks and giving a little aged look on edges..

I used a pearl pink color scrap paper from my trash for the base on my card. and stamped "POSTCARD" on top of the base  postcard. Since there was a door I cutout to give a 3d look of door opening and with my sentiment stamped inside with versa mark black ink.

Below is the stamp I used for sentiment and applied a thin layer on over it with my gesso be careful not to brush too hard or it might smear the ink.

From the leftover handmade scrap paper I made my wreath and coloured with distress ink.

now final application of my elements....

yes not to forget the snowy effect with my modelling paste to give more chilling look to my age old looking project...
that's how I am going to wish my friend by opening the doors and letting all the Christmas and new year  wishes ....

wishing all the people out there a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year....
will see u all next year with something new...bye..

My First Art Journal

Hello there,

Today I was happy to do this art journaling for the very first time (in formal way).... I was doing a lot of simple mix media techniques back in my school and collage days where I had done them on single sheets of papers preserved up till now when I am planning to give them more versatile look...anyways here the first page I created  with supplies from craftsneed.

Below the first pic on the left is my first pre gessoed and dried paper on both the sides. Right is the printed vellum of Webstars page which is quite strong thick and sturdy.

Also I have used stencil of Expressions. I used blue and violet chalk paints which I had received 6 or 7 years back from one of my close friend.. Randomly applied over whole of my page leaving to air dry.

then using expression stencil and gesso I created my background and brushed fairly all over and on edges of page with left over gesso on sponge.

I fussy cut the print pattern and inked with memento dandelion to give a pale yellow color and stuck them with multi matte medium on corners of both pages.

here you can see the difference before  and after colour...

Then using my floral stencil I went all over my page with memento rich cocoa with my blending tool and used decoart black gesso smearing lightly on edges.

Since I wanted to mention this was my first formal art journal  I hand wrote the same font style on vellum as the sentiments printed on vellum coloured same way and stuck it over ...

here `s my finished page...

Thankyou .... and see ya with another work of creativity soon..Bye
